Mei Kong Chinese Restaurant has several branches in Rawalpindi and even in Lahore.

What does Mei Kong mean in English?

In English Mei Kong means “having no time”, which is a funny name for a business.

Pros of Mei Kong Chinese Restaurant Saddar 

Mei kong chinese has both pros and cons. These are the Pros’ of the place.

• It’s in the center of down town Saddar, Rawalpindi.
• It is tucked round the corner and is peaceful.
• The Ambiance is neat and not too congested, but doesn’t look Chinese.
• It is owned by the Tehzeeb bakery people, so I guess they would know food quality and freshness
• The food serving is quite big and is tasty
• The ice cream was desi and pistachio tasted very nice and it was for free
• The menu is extensive.
• The staff is experienced and courteous
• The customers are middle class and decent

The cons 

• It is very expensive. An average dish is almost1200 rupees
• The parking space is limited
• The chowmien was not fresh looking . It seemed wiry
• Just don’t order cola drinks to keep the bill manageable

Conclusion

I would rate it 7 out of 10 mostly because it is a decent place in pindi with good quality food.
