Ox & Grill Restaurant Bahria town is good for Steaks

There are three Ox & Grill restaurant around Rawalpindi – Islamabad. One in F-7 Markaz, One at Sehgal Emporium Muree road and the best one at Allah Hu Chowk, Bahria Town Phase VI

We went to the Bahria town one, because of its clean environment and good crowd. We went on a Friday and luckily it wasn’t crowded.

The good thing is that unlike the branch at F-7 markaz, this one is on the ground floor and the main hall is open, with minimum obstructive pillars.

The interior is simple, wood work and some wall hangings of cowboys wrangling bulls.

The best thing was the ABBA band playlist playing in the background. This shows that the guy has class.

We ordered Maryland Steak and Florida steak. The taste was good, but the steak was not properly heated to the core. I think they hurriedly heated the pre-cooked chunk of meat and forgot to heat is deep into the centre.

The serving size was just about enough for diners

Also, we ordered steak cooked rare, and they gave everyone the same well-cooked steak — but we can attribute this to unprofessional attitude of the Pakistanis in general.

The sizzling spices on the steak were emanating a strong scent that was pretty tough on the nostrils.

Ox & Grill has everything in the menu; Appetizers, Fish, Chicken, Italian, deserts and drinks.

We order burgers and that was very tasty.

The waiting staff and the chef were very friendly and helpful.

If you don’t order the appetizers, the total bill for one family comes out to be Rs 1000 per person, which is reasonable.

I don’t thing Ox & Grill delivers or handles iftar menus as I couldn’t get hold of any such information, and their site didn’t respond.

I would give this place 6.5 out of ten because of their slight lack of focus on presenting steaks, which should be their strongpoint.
